EduScope now includes colleges and more information about education providers in Azerbaijan

A list of programs is not enough when you are deciding where to study. You also need to understand which institutions operate in the country, how a college differs from a university, and why a provider you already know may currently show no available programs for international applicants.

We are continuing to expand EduScope and make its data easier to use. The Institutions section now separates universities and colleges, lets you compare providers with active offers, and can also reveal registered institutions for which no current program is available in our data.

Colleges are no longer mixed with universities

Secondary vocational programs could previously look like bachelor's degrees, while colleges were difficult to distinguish from universities. These education levels are now separated.

If you want practical training and a shorter route towards a profession, you can review college options independently. If you need a bachelor's, master's, residency, or doctoral program, choose that level and avoid spending time on irrelevant cards.

The word college does not automatically mean easier admission or suitability for an international student. Check the teaching language, tuition, study mode, document requirements, and whether applications are open for your intended year.

Why we show institutions without available programs

Some education providers appear in Azerbaijan's official directories but currently have no published program in the data available to us. We do not hide them. You can reveal these organizations by enabling the option to show institutions without available programs.

No program in the catalog does not mean that an institution has closed or never accepts students. It means only that we do not currently have a verified active offer that we can present and compare responsibly.

If you recognize an institution but cannot see its programs, confirm the current intake on its official website or directly with its admissions office. Do not pay an intermediary solely because of an old webpage or promotional message.

Names, translations, and descriptions are becoming more accurate

We continue to review institution and program names in Azerbaijani, Russian, and English. The goal is not a literal word-for-word replacement. A useful translation must preserve the education level, subject, and type of institution.

Institution descriptions and photographs are also being expanded. A profile should help you understand the provider's focus, city, available programs, and main conditions without opening dozens of tabs.

This work is ongoing, so an individual name, description, or data field may still be incomplete. If you notice an inaccuracy, send us the page link through the form. We will check the source and correct it.

How to use the updated catalog

  1. Open Institutions and begin with providers that currently have available programs.
  2. Select the provider type you need: university or college.
  3. Open its profile and review the programs, language, level, and tuition.
  4. If the institution you need is missing, enable the option to show providers without available programs.
  5. Confirm the final conditions with the official website and admissions office before applying.

If the choice still feels too broad, EduScope can help narrow it by education level, language, budget, and city. You are left with a manageable group of relevant institutions to verify, rather than an endless list of names.
